Veneto is mainly known for the beautiful city of Venice, unique in the world for its extraordinary atmosphere (the Lagoon Islands), history and art: built on the water, for centuries (10th to 17th century) it used to be one of the most important naval powers and created extraordinary works of architecture, art and literature.
